Baduy Tribe Tour is a special trip to explore the unique ethnicities in Java land . Baduy tribe or Suku Badui have two separate villages (Kampong). First is the Suku Baduy Dalam, this tribe can be recognized by wearing white headbands. Also, they are still keeping well their traditions and cultures. And the second is Baduy Luar, which can be recognized by wearing black clothes. And Baduy Luar is already influenced by modern life such as cell phones, television, etc. Whereas the Baduy Dalam, they are avoiding the modernity life and isolating themselves from the outside world. This is the opposite way of life between Baduy Dalam and Badui Luar. It is a unique tribe and it is worth exploring. Are you curious about this tribe? However, this is diversity and they are still living in harmony. This is one of Indonesia’s cultural heritage.

It is a truly simple lifestyle in Baduy village. It is located around 3 hours away from Jakarta. This peaceful ancient village offers a cultural serene. And also, a perfect destination to escape chaotic city life. You can learn the way of their life, tradition, and cultures. In Addition, this unique community of people calls themselves Kanekes. Also, who refuses all external and strictly practices a traditional style of living. Again, it is a simple life blending with a natural and isolated ethnic group. Baduy Tribe Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Jakarta Hotel – Ciboleger – Tour Baduy.

Departure at 0700 A.M from Karawaci/Jakarta hotel to Ciboleger takes about 3-4 hours through the countryside. Arrive at Ciboleger ( the gate to the Baduy tribe ) at about 1100 am, directly tracking to Kadu Ketug, Kadu Jangkung, and Kadu Keter then tracking to Gajeboh, ( Outer Baduy Tribe or Black Baduy ). Gajeboh is The Border between outer and inner Baduy where you will see and enjoy the simple life of the Baduy tribe community and feel how rich culture and nature of the Baduy tribe. Take a rest for a few minutes in Gajeboh and we will have lunch here (Lunch Box), also we will stay overnight here at the leader’s house.

In the afternoon about 16.00, we will be tracking up to the hill of Gajeboh crossing the famous bamboo bridge to see the activities of the Baduy tribe community ( Rice fields, how they make Brown sugar/palm sugar, banana garden, etc). We will also take shower / swim at the Baduy River. After dinner at 20.00, we will see the Traditional music (Baduy Gamelan Angklung and Suling). Free at leisure.

Day 2: Ciboleger – Baduy Tribe Tour – Jakarta.

Early in the morning track up to the hill to see sunrise After breakfast at 08.00 track up to Cicakal stop over here to see the view around the village (to see they make cloth, and wooden bags from the skin of wood. Bracelets act) Then continuing to Cigula crossing other bamboo bridge to Cigula, if possible we visit the Baduy Lake on the way to Kadu Jangkung and back to Ciboleger lunchtime. Ciboleger to Jakarta. Tour Ends.

You will visit 8 kampong/villages of 53 villages BADUY community.
See one of the secret villages from the distance.
And cross two the Famous traditional bamboo bridge.
Seeing the LUMBUNG Paddy (wooden stock rice) which the BADUY community can save rice for more than 15 years here.
Enjoying the BADUY kids playing the gamelan of BADUY. (ANGKLUNG and SULING) Traditional Music if allowed by the leader.
Eyewitness the BADUY makes its own cloth, bracelet, bag, necklace from skin wood, etc.
Possibility sees the place to make brown sugar. And the Baduy climbs up high palm by a single bamboo loader to take the juice of the palm for making sugar.
You will take shower, swim in the river with the community and please bring your bathing suit.
