Information about Camping Tours on Mount Krakatoa

Mount Krakatoa Camping Tours is a weekend trip program. This is for enjoying a volcano on the sea, Mount Krakatau. It is located on the Sunda Strait between Bandar Lampung Sumatra and Java Island. The activities include camping, bonfire, snorkeling, and hiking. Furthermore, if you are landed at Jakarta airport or are already in Jakarta hotel, you might try to visit Mount Krakatoa. It is about 4 hours of driving time to Carita Beach direction. Because Mount Krakatau is a Strato volcano and the most active among other volcanoes in Indonesia (Mount Tambora is non-active volcano). Imagine, you are on the slope of a Strato volcano with a blue sea and white sand beach. And also, sometimes you can see a dolphin swimming around the islands. Especially when the night, bonfire, and sky are so bright with a full moon, it is a more peaceful and romantic ambiance. But do not forget to bring your special things (?).

Mount Krakatoa Camping Tours Itinerary

Day 01: Jakarta Airport/Hotel – Hotel Carita*** – Mount Krakatoa Camping Tours

Pick up at Jakarta airport (Jakarta hotel) and directly transfer to Carita for 3 – 3,5 hours by private car (depending on the traffic light). Arrived at the Carita hotel, and check in then, you may easily walk to the beach and sit at the Cafe for staring at Mount Krakatau from far away. Just thinking that tomorrow I am going to the amazing volcano. Enjoy your drinks. Stay overnight at Hotel. Dinner Personal account.

Meals: Lunch at Local Resto.
Accommodation: Mutiara Hotel Carita or a Similar Class.

Day 02: Hotel Carita – Child Mount Krakatoa Tours

After breakfast at 07.30 am, we leave the hotel and onboard a boat then sail crossing Sunda strait. the journey will take us about 1,5 hours by fast boat. On the way, we could see flying fish, a group of small Tuna, dolphins, and another awesome view (depending on the weather – we are not able to predict the weather in this century regarding global warming). upon arrival, sailing around the child of Krakatoa, here you can see a kind of stem larva. On shore, and then climb up the first level of a child of Krakatoa. (Depending on the weather too – it could be windy and dusty).

Mount Krakatoa Camping, Swimming and Snorkeling at Three Options

1). Big Krakatoa,
2). Child Krakatoa,
3). Panjang Island near the ranger camp. (here is flexible time, we can do it all if the time is enough). Before the sun goes down, we go camping at Big Krakatoa. relax or you may walk surrounding the area. at night bonfire and Barbeque fish, free time.

Day 03: Mount Krakatoa Tours Trekking – Carita – Jakarta Airport/Hotel

After breakfast, we will trek up the big Krakatoa at Rakata Island. then swimming and snorkeling at Legon Cabe (chilly bay). Here you can see beautiful coral and colorful fish. Take a rest and after lunch, sail back to Carita, rest, and then clean up. At the appropriate time, we directly transfer to Jakarta by private air condition car. Tour End.
